Pets and mounts
Pets and mounts are open species. You can create, sell, draw, and play them freely, even if you don't own any YVVO. They're a part of Bothea fauna, so they must evolve on Bothea. They can't be included into any other universe. They are not sentient species and should be compared to animals, even if some are very intelligent. A lot of them have been made by the community, for the community - they will all be properly credited.
Their reference sheet and anatomy must be respected in order to generate Yevatokens. Unique traits and unique powers can be applied to pets and mounts to give them unique appearances (but it must be approved, contact Yoka before.)
A pet can eventually be used as a mount, and a mount, as a pet. These are just the most common animals which are close to Yevatem, and can be tamed. More free species can be used as mounts or pets, but will be considered as "untamable" and thus very exotic, can be found here. The species displayed here are just the most common and popular!

Bokem are big wooly creatures mostly found in the jungle and meadows but which will also wanders a lot on the light forests nearby deserts, where it's easier to walk. Their bushy fur can host lichen, moss and small creatures, in the wildlife individuals, assuming a greenish or brown hue. They have four eyes and three tongues (one principal, two lateral secondaries). The formidable resistant bone structure of the mouth can be opened very wide due to the elastic structures that connect the different parts of the skull (centrally, and in the angles of the mouth). It's difficult to say if it's more dangerous a bite of this creature, or a charge of its massive body. Males are slightly bigger than females and have longer furs, for the rest there's no big differences. The cubs are playful, and the extreme thickness of their fur protect them almost completely from predators aggressions. With time the thick of the fur reduce (relatively speaking), the body stretches, the skull is reinforced and they finally develop all the teeth inside the oral cave (secondary incisors, and multiple little teeth inside the mouth that allows a better grip with the bite and compense the big cave space inside that mouth due to the the strench of the skull). |
Tamed creatures present longer and more colored fur than wild individuals, and they're often braided in fantastic styles. They're not particularly aggressive, unless you decide to step between two fighting males or approach a cub (watch out for the mother!)
Yevatem will have a small pack of tamed Bokem which they'll use to harvest their wool, and eventually their meat. They're easy to keep in a place since a single colored string or a very light wood/sticks barrier will prevent them from moving forward, and they will rarely if not never try to force it. They feel reassured by the barriers and won't try to escape, unless something freaks them out. It's also recommended not to keep them if you're on a Varveleil territory, since they're easy snaks for the dragons.

Mount (can be a pet if smaller/infant)
Delturathem are pursuit predators highly adapted and specialised for surviving Bothean deserts. When during the day most other species avoid shadeless desert, Delturathem strike. They single out prey from whatever safe haven it had and chase it out into the hottest parts of the desert. There, they have no trouble keeping steady pace after it, while their prey quite literally cooks alive. They can avoid experiencing the same fate thanks to their mane/sack; which is inflatable skin mass, drilled with holes for air passage and used as a cooling system. The sack allows them to run for hours if needed without any apparent difficulty. But the moment prey drops, they will drag it somewhere cooler to eat. Because if they stop running, they lose air flow and start heating up like anyone else. Yevatem started domesticating them some time ago, and while they're one of quickest ways to travel through deserts of Bothea, the number of Delturathem breeders is still relatively small. Reason for that is their temper and the amount of training they require, coupled with the fact that even the largest Delturath cannot comfortably carry more than two Yevatem at the same time. In most cases they're only used as an elite ride in the cases of emergency, under supervision of their trainer. Extra information: - They're mainly carnivores, but will happily munch on some flora too given the chance - As juveniles, they travel and hunt in small packs, while the adults are solitary creatures that only meet up for breeding - From there, parents together raise the cubs (1-2) and are extremely protective during that period - If not hunting, they will also avoid desert and instead spend their time in shallow caverns, near cave entrances or other rocky, shade-covered places - Riding them feels a bit like standing in front of a very big hair dryer - Domesticated Detlurathem can have even more vibrant markings, different colour patterns and even a transluscent sack. |

Pet only (unless UT to make it bigger.)
Can vary: - Size and bodytype - Floofy-ness (can be much more fluffy if you want, I'm just bad at drawing fluff myself ahah) - Length of neck, tail, ears - Variations due to your own artstyle, of course - Their eyes can have any color but will often be dark, and will always look like a night or sunset sky, or the picture of a galaxy, you get the idea. Basically clear dots on a dark colors - Any of them can have long or short fur! It might be confusing with this sheet because the male has longer fur, but it's just to show fur. There's no sexual dimorphism, and the only way to differenciate males from females is the presence or not of a crotch. But a female can have long fur and a male short fur, it's unrelated Details - Only can be found inside undergrounds and nearby water ponds. It makes them a rare sight, especially since they tend to flee Yevatem at sight. - They can be brought to the surface, but they'll need to drink a lot everyday, so they're a rather expensive pet. - They're not amphibians, but they can hold their breathe for quite long and are good swimmers. They mostly eat algaes and fishes. - They're a rather good omen, and represent the subconscious in Yevat dreams. It's also said not to stare in their eyes for too long, or you might discover hidden secrets of life that'll change you forever. It's just a myth, though. - They're covered with a very short fur, yet very soft to the touch. Some may have a way longer fur, but they're rarer! (free to make) - They're *very* flexible, and light weighted! - They walk on theit last phalanges and have no claws or nails. - Rumors says that they're a distant cousin of the Siunem because of their similar body shape. If that's true, they nowadays don't have much in common, and a Siune would probably chase them. |
Behavior
- They'll generally act like cats. Shy, silent, calm, and sleepy. And just like cats, they must chose you. If you capture one to tame it, and it doesn't like you, it'll flee whenever it can, and will maybe choose your neighbor's presence instead.
- As soon as they like someone, they'll start licking this person just like a cat would. They do it a lot. And their tongue is coarse.
- Their "hand" is very similar to Yevatem's, but their thumbs are smaller and farther from the other fingers.
- They can - and love to - hold things. Seeing them eating is nice because you can see them holding fishes or algaes like a Yevat or a raccoon would. When brought to villages some have even be seen holding knives or weapons! "Hold your damn pet, it just looked at me with those eyes and a knife in the hands, dude! What's wrong with it?!"
- They'll often grab random things and absentmindly start to manipulate them.
- Sometimes, they might grab your clothes, hair or ears while you hug them, and start to gently manipulate them too, making them one of the most affectionate pet one could have (as long as they like you, which isn't given.)
- They'll tend to follow their owner everywhere. They adapt to new environments pretty well, and due to them being good swimmers as well, it's not rare to see them on boats alongside sailors.
- They're also good climbers! Nothing is safe in your house-
- They'll sleep most of time. If you're a traveller though, some have been seen walking for hours straight to follow their owner, showing that they can be very endurant when they want to, and that they're most of time just lazy. If you have a mount, make some room for them and help them climb on it (they'll grab your hand!), they'll lay on the mount too.
Other details
- Some people absolutely love them for their sweetness and affection, some other hate them and say that they have too much of a superior complex.
- They rarely tolerate the presence of other pets, even when they're born with, and can show jealousy if you have a second one or any other pet. It's more like you belong to them than the opposite. Some can even be jealous of your partner!
- Tamed, they eventually might taste other kind of meat than fishes, and might eat smaller pets out of jealousy. For example, if you also own a Ibu, your Ibu might disappear in the Holkaki's belly...
- Brought to the surface, they'll rarely open their eyes wide. They're used to darkness, and their eyes are quite sensitive to light.
- To tame one, approach them with a lot of heavy scented fishes/algaes. Or maybe you'll wake up after a night in the undergrounds and one will be sleeping against you, and will never leave your side by now!

Very small pet (5 Y when drawn) Pet only (unless UT to make it bigger.)
Some details: - They all have their own behaviour, and some will appreciate company and living in packs or with their family, while others will be very territorials. - They can bear any color, and even have iridescent feathers! But the neck is always a vivid color, no matter what. If not, it means they're sick, or dying. - They're important in Yevat sybolism. Appearing in their dreams, Yevatem believe that it means they'll soon have to make an important choice. It's not rare either to see Yevatem and Deyevatem crafting masks at the image of these critters. - It's not rare to see these critters on a Yevat shoulder! - Don't imagine them jumping like frogs; they actually walk and can even run with their tiny legs! They'll crawl most of time, and they float on water just like ducks. - There's no sexual dymorphism. Diet: Omnivorous, they eat what they find: small bugs, worms, seeds, fruits, berries, and they can even take a bite on bigger, dead animals if they're hungry. But their favoutire type of food are nuts! Habitat: They can be found everywhere, but especially in the high undergrounds, where they'll have a better vision and where they seek the freshness. They live inside burrows they spend a lot of time to dig and to make safe and cosy. They even may bring pretty, colorful leaves into their burrows! |
As pets: To tame one (or several), have your food ready! Prepare nuts, worms, and other tasty seeds, and drop them around your home with a bowl of water. You might attract a few. In your home, make sure you have a bowl or a large plate that you'll frequently fill with water for them to rest in. They also love to squeeze themselves inside small areas or under the bed sheets, especially during the day. Some can also fit inside a pocket or a bag! They live one cycle, sometimes two, but bound deeply with Yevatem once there is a physical touch and pets on their head, back and belly. They're only noisy when they're in contact with another Ibu they want to mate with in the area, and are silent rest of the time, so they're good to keep as pets.
Possible variations:
- Their size vary from the teacup one to the Ibu just a bit bigger than a Yevat's paw.
- They can be slimmer, of more fat.
- The antennaes can be longer or shorter
- The tail feathers can have other shapes, like triangle or circle like, and can be longer or shorter.

Mount (can be a pet if smaller/infant)
Ihorem are tough, strong and solid creatures. These massive beasts wanders slowly on the world of Bothea, and no landscape can keep them at bay. They have a great balance, and domesticated ones can be used to go underground. They're often used by home-builders since they can tow heavy charges. They're clusmy on sand but they'll take a sandy path if their owner pushes them into. Their skin is rock-like hard, so hard that water and possible diseases cannot penetrate it, making them a good shield for frail Yevatem. Varveleilem even avoid to attack them since they're too tough to be eaten. They must be tamed when they are still infants, as they become too defensive and dangerous when they grow up. Yevatem love to cover them with painting, jewelery and ornaments for parties. |

Pet only (unless UT to make it bigger.)
Iveleilem are bat-like mammals about the size of a dog, living in the jungles and undergrounds. Their large wings, similar to Varveleilem, make them good gliders. They use their hypnotic eyes to confuse bigger predators. Their grabby paws and tail and their natural curiosity allow them to enter Yevatem's houses and to steal many trinckets. Their nests are often full of small treasures. Have one as your pet and it'll steal your own stuff as much as it'll bring you the neighbor's treasures! |
Extra information:
- There are males and females, but there's no sexual dymorphism.
- They're good climbers, intelligent and tricky.
- They can be seen teasing Varveleilem, being too small and too fast for the dragons to eat them.
- Their five hypnotic eyes are used both to attract preys and to confuse bigger predators. It's mostly a trick and they can't really order other creatures to obey them; and most of time a Yevat won't be affected by them, although it is said that staring at their eyes for a too long time gives nausea.

Mount (can be a pet if smaller/infant)
Jebarem are huge, lazy, floating creatures. They only evolve on salty waters such as underground seas and oceans, where they have enough room to live. They're used as a good alternative to boats since they're less likely to swing like boats during heavy flows or when hitting waves. Their flat back allow them to float without effort, and to carry Yevatem and goods. They're easy to steer with the use of a simple stick, but they need to be often urged and stimulated to move forward, otherwise they'll simply float and chill. If wild ones will probably try to eat a swimming Yevat (although they're slow and will give up fast is the yevat swims away,) those accustomed to a Yevat's presence will restrain from it. Other that that, their large mouth naturally produces a tasty flavor that attracts fishes into, so they just have to keep their mouth open until enough fishes are inside and then just snap them in a single bite. |
In underground Yevat towns near water, local Yevatem will often throw treats to the Jebarem to 'bribe' them not to eat a Yevat that'd possibly falls into the water. So, even 'wild' Jebarem near towns aren't likely to eat you.
These creatures are large, and can often carry five or more Yevatem on their backs. Traders will sometimes ride these guys with their goods to different underground towns connected by waterways.
They generally spend their time just under the water's surface because they need to breathe air. They can hold their breath for up to half an hour if they need to. Their belly glows to attract small fish to them from a far distance, but they won't turn up their noses at meat given to them by Yevatem. They will also eat small critters if they fall into the water, so watch out!
They make a humming noise to communicate happiness, and like it when Yevatem scrub gunk from their shells. They like pats on the nose too.

Mount (can be a pet if smaller/infant)
Karajasem are slow and stubborn creature living in the desert. Although they're used as mounts for their tireless stamina, and because they're easy to feed: they only eat rocks. Karajasem are creatures shaped for the desert regions of Bothea. They are very common mounts and it's not rare to see them. This creature needs to be trained before being used as a mount. They are taken at birth to be used to Yevatem's presence, and they're trained as soon as they're big enough to be ridden. Yevatem teach them a code with taps on their legs: small taps on a leg or another to indicate the direction, and pushing firmly on both legs to stop. Yevatem jump to grab one leg and rise up to sit on the beast's back. Karajasem are slow in general, but very tough and resistant; they can walk for days without food or water. They eat rocks and sand, from which their incredible stomach extract minerals. They need to drink only once per month, and a small quantity is enough. Occasionally, they can hydrate from the humidity in the air. They'll sometimes (but rarely) eat small animals such as zayetem, but only when they're thirsty (using the animal's blood for hydration.) |
- Their incredible strenght makes them one of the preffered mount to carry heavy things. They're also used a lot for home-building.
- They're mostly seen in the desert regions but they adapt very well to the jungle if they're pushed inside.
- Several weeks after mating, they will lay a thousand of eggs through their sting, and will abandon the eggs. The eggs are very small and have an awful taste. The eggs will all hatch at the same time, and the babies are so small that a Yevat could hold a dozen in the palm of his hand. From the hundred of babies, only a few will survive in the wild, the other being eaten by Bothea's wildlife. Adults, their only predators are Varveleilem. Breeders will not often keep the hundred of babies, and will select them; they'll often select the biggest and strongest ones. For this reason, domesticated Karajasem tend to be bigger and stronger than wild ones. They'll need about a cycle to reach their final adult size, but they grow big real quick - then keep growing more slowly.
In the wild, they'll wander alone and rarely mate (up to once in their life.) Domesticated, they can reproduce a lot more and they need to be separated to avoid a baby invasion in the town. They are all hermaphrodite and can mate with any other Karajasa. To mate, they stick their butts like insects do. If the sting is unharmful for Yevatem, it's sometimes cut off the beast by breeders. Most of time, it's to avoid Karajasem to harm other mounts, or to widely reproduce. Cutting the sting makes the Karajasa sterile.
Possible variations:
- Their size vary, but wild ones are usually smaller than domesticated ones
- They can be slimmer, or more fat.
- Quills are optional, and can vary a lot. They also can be present anywhere on their body, so go wild with these!
- Their neck length may vary, but keep in mind that they need to reach the ground to eat.
- Their claws and sting can vary in shape and size as well.
Must have:
- Four legs with 3 toes and big claws
- An eagle beak and no eyes
- A neck at least as long as the body, or longer

Kopokaem are mostly aquatic creatures, and thus can only be found in Bothea's undergounds. They can be found in clear and satly waters, and if they're moved from a lake to a sea, their body will naturally adapt to this changement (like salmons,) although they'll always stay nearby the surface. They feed on insects and smaller fishes. They have strong arms that they use to pull themselves out of water for a short period of time. They're very curious, and will gladly swim around Yevatem and other aquatic creatures. They come in various colors and have bioluminescent spots above their arms, which are mostly used to attract bugs. If they're seen by predators, they'll try to always face it if they can't flee: that way, the predator might bite their hard face and give up. Yevatem love to keep them into small pounds to harvest their eggs, which are very tasty. They're also great first pets for children, for they're harmless and are intelligent enough to learn tricks such as "jump" or "swim in circles." |

Mount (can be a pet if smaller/infant)
Kroem are proud winged mounts that can be found flying in the deserts and the jungles. Due to their complex nature, they're picky and hard to tame. They're most often seen in big Bothean cities, since only cities have enough room to take care of these beasts. More rarely, they'll be found in rich caravans, and they'll be used to carry many goods on a short distance. Unfortunately, Krou breeders are rare and charge a lot for a single of them, so it's hard to get your hand on one. They're also a meal of choice for Varveleilem, whose flight is much faster, so they'd better not try to survive inside a Varveleil territory. Other than that, they're very clever and will be receptive to their owner's feelings and attitude; they'll also be able to differenciate a Yevat from its Rokyevat form and will react to it. They are omnivirous but their pride give for each individual a favourite meal, and they could simply stop obeying if they're not fed with what they love. Their big size also make them expensive to maintain, so they're mostly sought by rich owners. But don't get fooled by their capricious nature; if you can bound with one, it'll be with you for life. |

Luksiem are a strange kind of worm/snail that lives underground, able to emit light from its "eye" as a way to partially release the drosses produced during the digestion. Light is constantly produced, since it's the result of a long process; unless an individual does not eat for days, and so only after a prolonged fasting the light emission stops. Drosses are also ejected trough the skin, which keeps it constantly moist. The head of the creature comes in many different shapes, due to mutations that with time had remained in the population. The false eye is covered by a transparent surface, that looks like a teardrop insert into the hole of the head. Males and females do not exist, a fertile individual depose eggs and another fertilise them walking over the eggs. The tads emerge from the eggs after a short period, and quickly mature into the adult form. With time, the drosses disperse through the skin start to accumulate on the creature surface, forming a layer that's thicker with time and that makes the creature slower and slower, till it's impossible for it to moves and therefore feed, and die after some time. Light is still emitted for days after the death. In the deepest layers underground, it exists cemeteries of these creatures, where they go to die and gather in stalactites that still emit light. Yevatem love to collect them for their various shapes and colors, and sometimes use them as a discreet source of light when wandering in dark places. |

Lyfem are cat-sized griffin-like creatures living in the jungles. They're able to fly for a short distance, and they're extremetly playful. They eat smaller birds and large insects. They're fearless and will naturally approach Yevatem in the wild; they know Yevatem always have food with them. Even wild ones will allow Yevatem to pet them and if they like a Yevat, they'll simply follow them as long as the Yevat keeps feeding it. Thus, it's extremely simple to have Lyfem pets. Extra information: - There are males and females, but there's no sexual dymorphism. - They tend to live in packs, but it's not rare to see lonely Lyfem as well. - If one spot a Yevat in the wild, it'll immediately be friendly. They know Yevatem give food. - Their flight is not really graceful, or effective. They usually don't fly for pleasure. They'll only fly to catch small birds, able to be fast on a short period. - They play like dogs and purr like cats. They're a bit derpy and Yevatem consider them as children. - Make noises like SQUAK! Possible variations: - They can be slimmer, of more fat. - Their beak shape can vary. - They can be any colour (similar to birds) - Any number and length of head fins - Wings shape can vary Must have: - A layer of skin above their wings, and feathers inside - Head fins - Two wings, unless hurt. |

Pet only (unless UT to make it bigger.)
Nyokuem are snake-like creatures living in the jungles, which will mimic flowers with their body's natural camouflage. They have two arms, allowing them to crawl and climb. Their bioluminescence and natural flower scents will attract bugs, their main source of food. A Yevat could have a Nyokua as pet if he's brave enough. Indeed, Nyokua's bite is rare, but poison is very painful, even if not deadly. Once used to the Yevat's presence, the Nyokua will eventually enjoy the Yevat's natural warmth and will stick to its new master. |
Extra information:
- There are males and females, but there's no sexual dymorphism.
- They are solitary animals in general, except during their mating season: they'll then form whole fields of Nyokuem, easy to mistake for flower fields.
- They can stay motionless for hours, waiting for a prey to come.
- They tend to loose petals when they're sick or old. They'll live for one to two cycles.
Possible variations:
- They can be slimmer, more fat, shorter, longer.
- Can have any kind of snake face or body and any colour.
- 'Hands' can be random and mimic any kind of wood.
- Collar can mimic any kind of flower.
- They can have various snake sizes (from pocket-sized to anaconda.)
Must have:
- They MUST have a flower on neck + wristles - they can't be bald (even old ones will have remnants of withered petals.)
- They must have 6 dark eyes
- A part of their body that can be bioluminescent

Projelem can only be found in salty waters such as undergounds seas and oceans. They're aquatic creatures that can stay underwater for medium -long periods of time, then they need to go back to surface to refill their air reserves. On their back, they have small spikes that completely emerge when the creature wants to fight or is frightened. The tongue has two tips, and the tail presents eight small claws at its end (maybe sign of the fact that originally it wasn't a tail but two separated limbs, that with time and evolution fused together to better adapt to the underwater life). They have a semi-transparent nictitating membrane, and can seal the nose before going underwater; the neck and sides are characterized with narrowings that sign where the air is gather and that can expand outiside for particular intense efforts and air gatherings. |
They're sometimes witnessed chilling on beaches before turning back to water. Females are bigger than males, present larger and bigger spikes over the back, have more muscles and thicker claws, bigger canines, a shorter tail, and less extended and curved flippers. They stay longer out of water, are more easily irritable, way too nervous and extremely territorial. Males, on the contrary, are more playful and curious, and better and more elegant swimmers; plus, their spikes are smaller, and their back is almost flat. Therefore, only males are actually used as mounts. It's recommended to be able to hold your breathe for a long time or even to be able to breathe under water to use one as a mount.
Rabia . Rabiem

Pet only (unless UT to make it bigger.)
Rabiem have no eyes, and sense the space around them via scents, vibrations and temperature. This allow them to hunt indifferently during day or night. They spend most of their time underground, but have no problems to go outside, although they don't like to stay too long under the sun. They're more easily spotted in jungles biomes, or undergrounds. In the desert, they usually prefer to go outside during the coolest hours; to move during the hot hours they alternate short exposed distants to cooler traits undergrounds, and the desert packs know many of such routes and teach them to their offsprings. Females are thinner, have shorter fangs but a longer tail, the bone structures that compone their nose are pointer and their hood presents two angles; the sting on the tail is poisonous. Males have more muscles, shorter tail, curved hoods, and a larger bone nose; their fangs are bigger, and the sting isn't poisonous but can still cause burning pain if it hurts you. |
Females lay eggs which have a surface that mimics gravels, to easily hide them. Cubs have a very short tail, smooth bone nose, and the frontal pair of limbs is underdeveloped at birth; their sting produces wounds extremely painful, so approach them at your risk. Extremely easy to bite strangers.
Adults height is around 75-100 cm; they are easily irritable so approach with caution. Usually move in small packs, if you see a solitary creature the rest of the group is probably near so watch your back. They like fast creatures, and play with them running at their side; unfortunately the game often ends in an hunt. They can catch Siunem as a meal of choice by hunting in packs.
Since the extreme difficulty to approach cubs, is often more easy to tame adults, maybe through little gifts and food. Even tamed, they remain aggressive and can bite the master's friends, or even the master itself. They never really forget their wild instincts, and have the reputation to remain dangerous, even tamed; because of this, towns or cities often impose a rule to have these beasts attached with strong ropes, when they don't fully prohibit them.

Very small pet (5 Y when drawn) Pet only (unless UT to make it bigger.)
Remnyem, sometimes called "Rehemanyo/em," are big and colorful bugs that Yevatem love to collect for their natural beauty. They can be found everywhere on Bothea, and their hive is always burried in dirt or dead wood. Extra information: These little guys are social hive-dwelling animals, about as intelligent as a crow. Where there's one, there's usually more. Males and sterile females are smaller and winged, whereas fertile females are larger and wingless. Fertile 'Queen' females are also usually territorial toward other 'Queens' - they require separate territories or hives to live in. The males and sterile females aren't really territorial at all, and are fairly friendly and easy to tame. They all have stingers and while their sting is painful, it isn't deadly - it's largely just a deterrent for predators. They primarily eat the nectar of flowers, and they gather it in their hives - if they're careful, a Yevat could harvest the excess from their hives for their own use. They are often preyed upon by Nyokuem and other predators that mimic flowers. They are highly curious and are very interested in sweet smelling things - they've been noted sticking their heads in anything they might think is a flower. |

Siunem are dog/jackal-like creatures living in the deserts. They're known to run extremely fast and to be very loyal to their masters. They're very light and agile, and make almost no sound when running on the sand. Extra information: - There are males and females, but there's no sexual dymorphism. - They tend be lonely creatures, but they can sometimes be seen in a small family pack. - They're shy. If one sees a Yevat in the wild, it'll flee. Yevat have to earn their trust to approach and tame this creature. - They are the fastest runners known on Bothea, they can run up to 100km/h. Useful not to be eaten by Rabiem. - They are calm and love to sleep for hours, but are playful when tamed. It's possible to play fetch with them. - Their tongue can be very long. Their saliva is like morphin. - When hunting, if they can't grab a prey, they'll touch the prey with their tongue and the prey will quickly fall asleep. - Their saliva also works for Yevat: they sometimes collect it to apply on painful wounds. Possible variations: - They can be slimmer, of more fat. - Their size can vary a bit. - Their ears can be longer or shorter, as their tail. Must have: - Their colors are generally desert-like (yellow, orange, red tones,) but they can be any dull color. (no neon/saturated) - Protruding heel and elbow bone. |
A Yevat adage says "Niune voy siune." Literaly, it means: "A family and a Siune." This sentence is an idiom used to say roughly: "If you have a family and a pet, you have everything you need in life." It's most commonly used in the desert regions of Bothea, although it can be said everywhere. "How can you be happy? You're not very rich and your lands are rough. - Niune voy Siune." It shows how Siunem are one of the most loyal and easy to take care creatures on Bothea, once tamed.

Snokem are vampiric desert creatures. They're well known for being fast and dangerous. Their hunting style is to run until they find a sleeping/resting creature, latch on, drink their blood, and bolt away once the other creature starts fighting back. They have vents on their side to keep cool while they run. They drink blood through their hollow fangs, giving them water and nutrition. They make a whistling noise to communicate. These guys can be dangerous to a Yevat, and should be treated with caution. To tame one, a yevat must steal one as a baby. Tamed creatures will wander around the outside of a Yevat's home to hunt, and can be called when the Yevat makes a whistling noise. They are usually dog to deer-sized, but some can be as big as what it seen on the reference sheet. |
Sundyr . Sundyrem

Sundyrem are strange colorful creatures that can be found everywhere on Bothea, but remain are. They're characterized by a double dentition (external has white/light teeth, incisors only; internal has a complete dentition of black/dark teeth); on the forehead there's also three additional eyes, that only sense light and its intensity. The external skull produces horn-like structures that, with time, grow into a complicate structure connected by a semi-trasparent membrane. The horns are resistent but hollow inside, to allow the passage of blood vases, nerves and air canals all immersed into lymphatic liquid (it's infact here that these creatures has the majority of their lymphatic tissue and structures). These horns are the base of the life for these creatures: adults without horns or damaged cannot live long: they breath through it, half of their nutrition is provided by the membrane (where specialized cells react to sunlight and produce energy through a process similar to photosynthesis), the principal center of their immune system is there, it's an important element for their termoregulation. The tail is semi-trasparent, and have few not important centers that fulfill part of the same functions of the horns membrane but are totally secondaries and almost irrelevant. Frontal paws has two thumbs and three fingers of different size (from inside to outside: small-medium, big, and very small); posterior has a single hoof and two dewclaws. |
These creatures live into the forests, but every now and then like to go underground (just not too much) to have a refreshing swim. Once per cycle they traverse the desert in big packs, to take new home on the other side forests; the ritual is repeated the next cycle, and each group follows specific routes that they learned and pass on through generations.
At birth, cubs don't have the horn structure nor the external dentition; but, while they almost immediately start to grow the first, the second appear very late and only after few years. They're preyed upon Varveleilem but are excellent at detecting the flying dragons first because of their three top eyes.
These creatures are good resistant runner, capable of little sprint for small traits; their defense is into the numbers, so it's usual for them to move and live in big colored packs. It's easy to tame one, and they're not particulary shy. They'll quickly get used to a Yevat's presence and won't mind it. Adding a saddle and climbing on its back is another story however; and not every Sundyr will accept it. A period of several month is necessary to get it used to a saddle, then to a weight, then to the Yevat on its back. At first, it'll probably send your saddle back in your face with a defensive leap, so you better be patient. Tamed and mounted, they're considered as exotic mounts and are admired, even if being on their back isn't the most comfortable thing, and they're not very endurant compared to other mounts.

Syntylem are strange creatures living mainly on the jungles and undergrounds. They move around on their principal arms. They are covered with a short-medium lenght fur. Some fur fibers are specialized and can release a soft light; males present this kind of fibers scattered all over the body, while female just only in specific portions: the principal areas characterized with these fibers are the top and back of the head, the neck, the tip of the shoulders and the base and the tip of the tail. Males are capable of producing a more intense light than females. Courtship consists for the male in a show of lights, at night time, moving the tail in sinuous dances (left bottom figure) When feeling in danger these creatures try to scare the enemy and assume a treatening pose, growl, raise the fur and position the tail behind them in and arc trying to look bigger, and emit light (bottom right figure.) Cubs are very little and have an extemily soft fluff. Adult males are a little bigger than females. They're playful animals, and good hunters for small-medium creatures. They're omnivorous. Their original habitat is underground, but they adapted to live outside on trees too, due to domesticated individuals taken above the ground. |

Tafiem are ferret-like winged creatures that can be found in the jungles and high undergrounds parts of Bothea, and more rarely in the deserts. They're very flexible, and most of their joints can move in more than one way. They are good at climbing trees and rocks, thanks to the spikes on the back of their last set of paws. Tamed critters like to ride on the shoulders of their Yevat friends, and can be tamed by being offered food. They're social creatures and it's said that it's cruel to only own one; it's recommended to own at least two so they can play together. They're omnivirous and not picky. Their size can vary from what's visible on the reference to twice as small. |

Takranem live in the underground lakes and rivers of Bothea. Strangely, it appears that they can survive inside the Ovscrudem; in there they'll mutate with the local mushrooms. They grow various plants and flowers from their back, their natural hybridous nature allowing them to have a symbiotic relationship with most aquatic or semi-aquatic plants and mushrooms. This plant strategy allow them to hide from most predators. They can float, dive underwater, but they can also walk outside of water. They are scavengers and will eat whatever they find, giving them the nickname of "water cleaners." It's always a bad surprise for Yevatem to find that the neat plant they just stepped on suddenly has claws, spikes and a powerful bite. Underground Yevatem love to keep them in their nearby lake as decoration and ground cleaners. They're also made of tasty flesh, and are a common meal for Yevatem who love to add some of their raw meat into salads and more complex dishes. Babies are numerous and a dozen could hold into a Yevat's hand. They never cease to grow up until they die, and the biggest ones can be twice as big as what's visible on the reference sheet. |

Teskagorem, or "Kagorem" for short, are mostly jungle dwellers; but they can be brought anywhere if you're their owner. They're very discreet creatures, but they can become really noisy and make loud deer-like roars during mating season. Their diet is composed mostly of young plants, leaves, and mushrooms. Fungi can naturally grow on their body and they'll all be bioluminescent. They're easy-to-tame creatures and will love their owner as they love their own babies; they can also become very protective if their owner is attacked. As defense, they'll bite and give powerful head bumps that could stun a Yevat. As mounts, they're loyal and very useful to climb on various and difficult areas. |

Zayetem are insectoid rabbit-like creatures, living everywhere on Bothea. Their fur will tend to have the colors of their environement. Their four paws have an extra articulation, allowing them to make huge leaps and to be extremetly agile to flee their predators. Once tamed, they'll love to be patted and hugged by their owners. Extra information: - They burrow a lot and can be found in undergrounds as well - They're a prey of choice for many predators - Yevatem can eat them (and their flesh is tasty), or domesticate them - These antennaes are made of keratin, and sounds like rattlesnakes' tail. They use the rattling sounds to communicate. - Their fur is ultra soft - There's no sexual dymorphism. - They walk like rabbits. - They're peaceful and mostly vegetarian, though they also can eat insects. - They can be found in small packs or couples. They litter has 6 to 10 izayetem. - If one spot a Yevat in the wild, it'll flee. A Yevat has to remain calm and silent to approach it. - (The community calls them "bugs bunnies" and now it's their official-non-official name) Possible variations: - Their size vary, but wild ones are usually smaller than domesticated ones - They can be slimmer, of more fat. - Dwarf Zayetem can exist. They'll be small enough to be on a shoulder. - Their ears can be longer or shorter - Antennaes can vary a lot in term of lenght, fatness, and shape - Their fur adapts to their environement and can be thicker or thinner, and can be any colour. - Their "mustache" is a mating ornament and can have any shape and size, and can vary a lot Must have: - Octopus irises - Two ears and two antennaes - Two bone-like cheeks (as fancy as you want) |
