This sheet is an addition to the Yevat sheet. If you're new to the YVVO, you should probably look for the Yevat general anatomy sheet first.
Difference between Yevat and Velilyevat
Velilyevatem are a Yevat subspecies. In the Yevat language, "Velil" means "the wing." A Velilyevat is a winged Yevat.
The only visual difference between a Yevat and a Velilyevat is the presence of wings: if a Yevat has wings, it's now a Velilyevat!
The biggest difference is in the Yevat's society. In Yevat's beliefs, wings are granted to the most deserving souls. This way, winged Yevatem are destined to be leaders and guardians for other Yevatem, and they can't refuse this honor. Velilyevatem will lead and take decisions, and will be organized into monks and a council to help the chosen leader of leaders. If there are many Velilyevatem, the oldest female (or person who can lay an egg) will often inherit of the responsibilities and decisions to take, although it's not always true.
Velilyevatem will wear specific clothes for parades and will be at the center of parties, sometimes even parties in their honor.
They are the voice of the FATHER. If they have powers (like visions, telepathy, etc), they can be deified. Young Velilyevatem will be monks, and will be shaved so they can't be considered as 'finished' Velilyevatem. They'll often be sought by Yevatem to answer questions about souls, and can do a therapist job in that way. They don't need to hunt and will receive the best homes and food freely. But they are not allowed to leave the town/city and must always be available.
When born, baby Velilyevatem will be separated from their parents to be raised with the other Velilyevatem and to become a monk.
Velilyevatem share the same sheet as Yevatem, except that they have wings in their back.

Wings guide
The wings' requirments:
- They must be bird-like in their shape, and covered with feathers - They must be attached to the back of the Velilyevat - There can be only two wings (less if injured.) Anything changing the rules above will require unique traits. For example, if the wings are those of a bat instead, or if there are four wings, or if they're attached to the head instead of the back, etc. Every time one of these three rule is changed, it'll require a new UT. For example the UT "insect wings" will only change the actual pair into insectoid ones, but won't offer four wings at the same time. To get four wings, you'll need a new UT "more than two wings." Wings can have a clawed thumb (free - optional.) |
Other than the three rules stated above, wings can be pretty varied! They can vary in size (too small or too big to fly to anything in between), in shape (observe birds, they're really varied), and even in feather shapes! They can be longer than usual bird feathers and can be pretty fancy. Look at peacocks, for example ~ |
Monks will often be shaved to symbolize the fact that they're not ready for leadership yet. They will often bear bodypaint in the shape of arrows or triangles (sometimes a triangle with a circle or a dot inside - not outside of it) to show that they are training.
Velilyevatem will often be seen with rich clothes and jewlery, robes and veils. Since they don't have to fight or hunt, they can be pretty fancy! Sometimes, their wings are too heavy for them to fly (their natural keratin overproduction also make the feathers constantly grow), so their wings become an ornament only. |
