Redesigns
You got a design you like, but which could be better? Or you have an old MYO design and want to update it? You are allowed to redesign any YVVO, pet or mount that you own, according to the following settings.
Free changes
These don't require to be approved by Yoka. You can change them without limit on any design you own, at any time:
- Bodytype, gender, age, face
- Hair length, color, and haircut
- Claws length and color
- Tail and wings size
- Ears shape
- Eye color and pupils shape (still respecting the traits)
- Adding, updating, or removing horns
- Designing or changing the Rokyevat form
- Adding scars or hurt marks (such as chopped off limbs,) or erasing them.
- Any kind of clothes, jewelry, tattoos, piercings, accessories or bodypaintings.
- Changing nose and chin tips (Varveleil)
- Changing number and shape of breathing vents (Varveleil)
- Changing the appearance of reproductive tails (Varveleil)

Allowed updates
These DO require to be approved by Yoka. If you update one or several of these traits, you need to contact Yoka with the new version of your design and say what you changed. The old and the new design must be recognizable when compared between each other (redesigns are different from MYOs.) Yoka can decline a redesign if it's too different from the original design.
- Adding a new unique trait or unique power (if you own one)
- Swapping a unique trait or power for another. It must remain close in theme from the previous unique trait - or close to the design's general theme.
- Changing colors and / or markings. They must remain recognizable from the previous ones.

Large redesigns
Will be considered as a "large redesign" any redesign changing the markings and/or color.
Large redesigns are free, but allowed only once every 4 months to avoid abuses - or when a design changes of owner.
Here's a redesign example: Markings and colors slightly changed, there are more horns and scales, but the general idea remains similar. UT and UPs have been added.

Prohibited changes
The following updates are prohibited:
- Changing a design so much that it's a brand new design (redesigns are not MYOs)
- Adding unique traits or unique powers for free
- Changing the colors and / or markings to something completely different from previously
- The species basic anatomy isn't respected or the species can't be recognized
- You directly edited someone else's artwork without their explicit permission
- The design is based on pre-existing or copyrighted characters

How to get a redesign approved
Contact Yoka with your new design, or submit your new design to #myo_approval on the discord server.
To be official, the masterlist entry of a design MUST be updated, or it will not be considered as official and tokens for an unapproved/unnoficial design will not be generated.
If you redesign a YVVO, the old version must not be used anymore (you can't use the old and the new versions of a design at the same time)

AUs
Since alternate universes are allowed, you can have multiple versions of a single YVVO (but not multiple redesigns.)
When you redesign a character, the new design will be updated to the masterlist and will become the new and only official design.
If you want to use the previous design, it'll be counted as a redesign as well (with the 4 months cooldown.)
These can however be changed for free between different versions/alternate universes of your character, and you can keep all varied forms at the same time:
- Its backstory and behavior
- Its age
- Its gender and bodytype
- Hair length, color, and haircut
- Claws length and color
- Adding scars or hurt marks (such as chopped off limbs,) or erasing them.
- Any kind of clothes, jewelry, tattoos, piercings, accessories or bodypaintings.

The Rokyevat form of a Yevat or Velilyevat
You can read every detail about the Rokyevat form in the Yevat species reference sheet, after you scroll a bit!
Yevatem and Velilyevatem all possess a Rokyevat form which is free to design, and doesn't have to be approved - unless you add unique traits or powers to it.

The Yevat or Velilyevat form of an Oyevat
If you got an Oyevat through custom or adoptable, and if this Oyevat isn't already the evolution of a Yevat or a Velilyevat, then it's possible to design a Yevat or Velilyevat form for it, for free. (No MYO required.)
The Oyevat replaces the Rokyevat form. The choice between a Yevat or a Velilyevat form is left to the owner.
The rules to design a Yevat or a Velilyevat form don't change from this guide, as if you were designing a regular Yevat or Velilyevat. The Yevat or Velilyevat form of an Oyevat can share the Oyevat's unique traits and powers - but doesn't have to. If you add the UTs and UPs owned by the Oyevat, they will be free (not consumed from your pool.)
The rules to design a Yevat or a Velilyevat form for an Oyevat obeys the same logics in term of difference than the Rokyevat form, in short:
- Horns can be the same, or become smaller, simpler, or non-existant
- Eyes color and pupils can change and be drastically different (no limit)
- Colors and markings can slightly change (not completely different, but it can get more or less saturated, darker, clearer, gain patches of new colors, gain new and more complex markings or on the contrary, lose colors or markings)
- Etc.
Basically, it must still look like the same character, but with a different anatomy. There's no strict rule about a design, but you get the idea.
Every Yevat or Velilyevat form created for an Oyevat (who doesn't have it yet) must, just like any other YVVO design, be approved by Yoka before being used!
The opposite (creating an Oyevat form for a Yevat or Velilyevat), is prohibited (Oyevatem aren't free to make.)
Have an example of an Oyevat, and its Yevat form:

Alternate appearances
It's possible - yet not encouraged because it's lore-breaking - to design alternate forms for your YVVO. For example, your YVVO as a pony from MLP, or your YVVO as a human, or your YVVO as a potato, etc.
Creating an alternate version of your YVVO (such as the human version, the dragon version, the pony version, etc.) will be tolerated under these conditions:
- It must be clear (written somewhere) that your YVVO can't shapeshift into this alternate version (otherwise that's a mutation, and they can't be obtained for free)
- The alternate design is not official, meaning that: it can't add any value to the design, and it must be separated or deleted from the YVVO when the YVVO is transferred to a new user, if possible
- The alternate designs can't generate any Yevatokens, nor count as extra art, nor enter prompts
- The alternate designs must not become more important than the YVVO itself (at this point just create a new, different character, on which you will have full rights, as long as it doesn't look like an alternate version of the YVVO anymore ahah)
While Yoka won't mind the creation of non-official versions of a YVVO for artistic or meme purposes, for example, she will condemn the use of alternate forms if they're used in a way to cheat to get free mutations, powers and traits for a design (which would be unfair for other users who play by the rules.)
