Species currency
Whenever you start being active in the YVVO universe, you may notice something: drawing and writing about YVVO can generate Yevatokens! This currency isn't a currency adopted by the Yevatem in the lore - it's a non-lore currency that members can generate and use to trade for MYOs and special items inside the reward shop, allowing you to snag many things without spending real life money!
What is a Yevatoken?
A Yevatoken is a virtual 'token' that you can generate when you draw or write about a YVVO. You calculate them with the scale shown in this page, and when you gathered enough Yevatokens, you can exchange them inside the reward shop for items!
If you're unfamiliar with the concept of species currency and items, or if you don't know how to create and maintain your own tracker, join our discord server, we'll guide you there ~ |
Yevatoken rules
- You cannot buy or sell Yevatokens. Yevatokens are generated for one unique nickname and may not be sold, traded, or gifted. However, you can buy items for other people (as gifts or in exchange for something.)
- Any media which already received Yevatokens before the rework (June 2021) can't be reposted or recounted. Only medias realized and posted after June 2021 can be counted with this current system.
- Each media made containing a YVVO (or any other Bothean species) can generate Yevatokens (following the scale on this page), except for adoptables. Even completed MYO designs, reference sheets, poems, etc.
- Unless free, adoptables will NOT generate any Yevatokens (since you already get something for them, either money, art or services.) This concerns official guest artists and everyone who'd design pets and mounts as adoptables. This rule also prevents any rule conflicts on platforms like Deviantart, for example, where it's prohibited to sell a digital currency.
- Customs are considered as commissions and can generate Yevatokens.
- If you adopt a YVVO or any Bothean species from another user, you can't add any of the previous artwork(s), text(s), or other media(s) to your balance. Only new medias you'll create or obtain for this character will be allowed.
- In general, "spamming" and "farming" will be badly seen. For example: spamming low effort, five-minutes made sketches where the YVVO can't even be properly recognized, below your average art style in quality, in order to generate a lot of easy Yevatokens. This system is made to reward effort, quality, sharing, and love, not farming.
- Yoka or any moderator will be able to invalidate your Yevatoken amount for a said piece if you're caught trying to cheat (for example, counting a chibi as a fullbody.) If it's repeated, you may be definitely banned from the token system, or even from the species.

How to calculate the Yevatoken value
According to what you made, you can calculate the number of generated Yevatoken respecting the following scale.
ARTWORKS Headshot* / Bust = 5 Y *(Anything smaller than a headshot (a hand reference, a zoom on the eyes, etc. will not generate any Yevatoken.) Chibi** / Halfbody** = 10 Y **(Chibi = big head and eyes, or unrealistic and simple proportions, no or poor articulations, or character poorly detailled, cartoon style, etc. also applies to babies and small children. Halfbody = at least the belly and arms of the character are visible.) Fullbody (no chibis) = 15 Y No color = 0 Y Colored = +5 Y No shading / minimal shading = 0 Y (Will be considered as minimal shading if the shading doesn't cover your full drawing. For example, if only the eyes or the neck of your character are shaded but not the rest.) Shaded / Ambience = + 5 Y Abstract background = + 5 Y (Abstract patterns, etc. No photo, stocks, AI made bg or other resources will be accepted, it must be drawn by you to generate tokens.) Simple background = + 10 Y (Has notions of an environment, but remains simple / with few details, or is sketchy. No photo, stocks, AI made bg or other resources will be accepted, it must be drawn by you to generate tokens.) Complex background = + 25 Y (Has a lot of details, an ambiance, and notions of perspective. Landscape/scenery. No photo, stocks, AI made bg or other resources will be tolerated, it must be drawn by you.) |
PETS AND MOUNTS
This tab includes pets and mounts, but also any animal in the fauna and flora page (not the plants.)
Mounts* = counted like any YVVO (refer to the scale above)
*(In order to be counted like a YVVO, the mount must be visible, with a clear design - not a silouhette in the distance for example. Count example: fullbody 15 Y + color 5 Y + shading 5 Y, etc.)
Pets** = counted like a chibi
**(pets being small, they're always counted as a chibi/halfbody, even when the fullbody is drawn. For example, a fullbody Lyf will be counted like: fullbody pet 10 Y + color 5 Y, etc.)
Really small pets / poorly detailled pets*** = always 5 Y
***Super small pets (like Ibu, Luksia, Remnyo, or other small fauna like Koprol or other small bugs, fishes, or birds), usually about the size of a Yevat hand or smaller - or poorly detailled pets - will only generate 5 Y, never more. No color or shading bonus will be applied to the drawing. The exception would be if the pet is the main focus of the image and is highly detailled, then it will be counted as a regular pet.
TEXTS
Less than 500 words = 0 Y
500 - 999 words = +15 Y
1000 - 2499 words = +20 Y
More than 2500 words = +25 Y
*Count is reset for every new chapter if you write a multi-chapters story, so you can count every chapter separately. If you wrote a 5000+ words text, for example, you're free to split it into two "chapters" or two "parts" to get the +25 Y twice.
ANIMATION
Every scene will count as 1 artwork (you don't count every frame one by one.) You count a scene with the artwork's scale above, to which you add:
+ per scene: (not per frame)
Less than 4 unique frames = +5 Y
Lasts 5 - 8 frames = +10 Y
Lasts 9 - 15 frames = +15 Y
Lasts 15 - 30 frames = +20 Y
Lasts more than 30 frames = +25 Y
CRAFTING / 3D MODELS
To avoid generating an unlimited amount of Yevatokens, only the first generated picture will count. Every time you'll post a new picture of a 3D or crafted model after that, it won't generate any other Yevatoken. Choose your picture wisely!
Headshot / Bust = 10 Y
Chibi / Halfbody = 15 Y
Fullbody (no chibis) = 20 Y
3D models:
No render (T-pose, basic shader, etc.) = 0 Y
Rendered (Shader, texture, lighting, simple pose, etc.) = +15 Y
Scenery (rendered + complex pose, background, ambience, etc) = +20 Y
Plushes / Craft:
Small (A few centimeters/inches wide, can be held in a hand, pins, badges, etc.) = 10 Y
Medium (Bigger than a hand, statuettes, dolls, plushies, etc.) = +15Y
Large (Larger than a head, masks, suits, bed sheets, etc.) = +20 Y
If you made the model completely by yourself (Used no resource and started from zero, example) = +15 Y
OTHER
YCH or Bases = If you use a base for your artwork, the Yevatokens given for the line/sketch are always equal to 5 Y, as if it was a headshot (even if it's a fullbody, for example).
You can however fully count the color (+5 Y) and the shading (+5 Y) if you draw them.
It means that an artwork made on a base can never exceed 15 Y. (It was limited to 5 Y before.)
To this, you can add the Yevatokens for a background if you draw one. A background you drew can however generate tokens only once (you cannot copy-paste it on every new artwork to get background tokens every time.)
If you're the person who drew the base: you can count your first artwork fully, then the next uses of your base by yourself will only generate 5 Yevatokens per lines.
If someone else use a base you created, you can't add yourself more tokens (or else it'd be like an infinite hack.)
If only a minor detail is changed between two artworks (such as the same headshot but with various expressions, for example), it's not enough to count for new tokens.
A base where we can see the front and the back of the character is still counted as one (1) base and can't be fully counted twice. The front view will give you the full amount of tokens, then the back view will only give you 5 tokens for the lines.
Changing an outfit on the same YVVO drawing can't generate new tokens (since outfits don't give Yevatokens.)
Commissions, art trades and gifts = If you draw someone else's YVVO, you both will receive the full amount of calculated Yevatokens (you will not have to split the Yevatokens between you and the other like it was before.)
With this condition for artworks: someone can only receive tokens for YVVO(s) they actually own, if they're not the artist of an artwork if the piece feature several YVVOs owned by different persons. For example, artist A draws a complex piece with 3 YVVOs, owned by 3 different persons: B, C, and D. The artist A will get full Yevatokens for the piece, since they drew it themself (counting the 3 YVVOs, even if they don't own them.) But B will only get tokens for the YVVO they own, C will get tokens for YVVO C, and D for YVVO D. It doesn't concern an eventual background that everyone can count.
Silhouettes, reflections, etc = A YVVO drawing can only generate Yevatokens if the YVVO is:
- approved and added to the masterlist (except for pets and mounts)
- the design is clearly recognizable in its traits, colors, etc.
Which means that:
- silhouettes of non existing YVVOs (to make a scene with a crowd, for example) will not generate Yevatokens
- silhouettes of existing YVVOs can only be counted if the YVVO is recognizable (for example, a simple shadow will not generate tokens, but a reflection in still water or in a mirror will.)
- duplicating a drawing and blurring it to create a reflection does not constitute as creating two separate drawings and can't generate tokens twice; in order to generate Yevatokens the reflection must be a new drawing.
Extras = Sometimes, you can receive more Yevatokens:
- By participating in monthly prompts (the amount of received Yevatokens will be written on the said prompt's journal)
- By creating resources for the community, like bases for example (Yoka will come and give you an amount of Yevatokens = +15 Y for free bases, +5 Y for paying bases. DO NOT self-give you these tokens and wait for Yoka's confirmation, as the resource must be approved and correct before being available for the community!)

Your own tracker
You are responsible for counting your own Yevatokens whenever you post a new artpiece. To this, and to buy things inside the reward shop, you must have a functional and up to date tracker: it can be a deviantart journal, a google docs sheet, a character on toyhouse etc. as long as it's publicly visible and accessible.
A tracker for the YVVO requires these details:
- Your amount of currently owned Yevatokens on the top or bottom of the page, that can easily be seen
- A list with every transaction you made (when you added tokens to your count or when you bought something in the reward shop) with the date (starting in 2021 June 6, you do NOT have to show anything before the 2021 rework.)
- Functional links to every media/artwork/writing you created and counted, or to every extra Yevatokens you received, so Yoka or a moderator can verify that everything has been properly counted.
- If you have different nicknames, you're asked to write them all on the tracker! If you also often change nicknames everywhere, it'll be appreciated if you write your previous nicknames somewhere. Yoka reserve the right to decline your tracker if she can't remember who you are (to avoid alt-accounts.)
You don't know what a tracker is supposed to look like? Here is an example of a complete tracker. You are allowed to use this specific tracker if you want! For that, just click on "file", then on "create a copy." Boom, you can edit your own version of this tracker. More trackers are available on our discord server, where people are allowed to share theirs ~

Details
MYOs
The MYOs expire 6 months after puchase. If they're not designed in time, they are voided and won't be refunded.
As they're (even more) cheaper than before and much easier to get, only 1 MYO of each type can be bought per month
(You can buy every month 1 Yevat, 1 Velilyevat, and 1 Varveleil MYO, but not 2 Yevat MYOs, for example)
Regular MYOs can be traded or gifted to other users after purchase, but not sold as is. They however can be sold once they have been designed (Yoka values your art.)
Any YVVO designed through MYO falls under YVVO rules. Between many things, it also means that you can sell your designed MYOs to other users, and these future users will be able to sell your design too afterwards if they wish to. Applying your own rules to a designed MYO (such as "don't resell") is prohibited.
These MYOs are for personal use. If they can be resold once they're designed, they're not meant to be free passes to create adoptables. If any admin or moderator suspects that you design YVV just to resell them after and to make profit (in other words, to create adoptables without being a guest artist), your access to Yevatokens might be revoked and your current Yevatoken count might be set to 0 permanently.
You can buy a MYO for someone else. (In that case, the limit of 1 MYO per month doesn't apply, which means that you can buy a MYO for yourself and one of a friend during the same month, for example.)
Unique traits and powers details
Unique traits and powers are detailled and explained in the Unique traits guide
The Genetic pill will give you a virtual item called "Genetic pill." This genetic pill can be revealed; and it'll reveal a random unique trait (click to access to the list) that you are free to apply to any Bothean species. Rarely, it can generate a unique trait with a unique power. And in some really rare case, it can even turn a Yevat into a Velilyevat, or even include a mutation. Once you received your unique trait, you are not constrained to stick it to an YVVO, you can keep it unused.
Genetic pills can be kept unrevealed and traded of gifted unrevealed, so the surprise comes to the new owner.
You can buy traits and pills for someone else.
Discord exclusive color
Custom color for your nickname: this color will be unique and you will be quickly seen in the chat!
I need a hexcode to apply it. Hexcodes are the code of the colors and looks like this #5C2751. Need help? Check the Coolors app!
You want to change color but already bought this item? No worries! Just PM Yoka with a new hexcode, you won't have to pay a second time.
The chosen color might not be the same, or really close to the colors of admins and moderators, to avoid abuses of power (pretending to be a modo when not.)
Discount tickets
Discount tickets are exactly what they seem to be. Exchange a discount ticket here with your Yevatokens, and next time you see an adoptable or MYO sales you like, use it! It'll reduce the final price. For example, on an adopt that costs $15, you can use a 5$ discount ticket to have this adoptable for $10 instead. It can only be used on adoptables by YokaMycelium - not the other guest artists (unless they specify otherwise.) The ticket can only be consumed wholy, meaning that if you use it for something cheaper than the ticket value, you won't keep the change. For example, if you buy a MYO that costs $9 with a $10 discount ticket, the $1 remaining will be lost. Discound tickets can't be cumulated on a single sale.
